Marywood University is nestled in Scranton, Pennsylvania (latitude 41 degrees north, longitude 75 degrees west), and is near the scenic Pocono Mountains.

Campus
Marywood’s campus is 46.54 Hectares (115 acres) and is a national arboretum that has been nationally recognized for its plentiful growth of over 100 different species of various trees and shrubs that are grown for study and display.

The campus is 193 km (120 miles) west of New York City and 185 km (115 miles) north of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Both Philadelphia and New York City are approximately a 2 1/2 hour car ride from Marywood University. Marywood is easily accessible by automobile, bus and air. The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport is just a ten minute ride from Marywood's campus.

Marywood University is located about five minutes away from downtown Scranton, with restaurants that celebrate different cultures and ethnic backgrounds. There are theaters, art galleries, movie theaters, and shopping malls within a short driving distance.

Scranton experiences a full four-season climate with average summer temperatures, June through August, between 15 degrees Celsius and 28 degrees Celsius and average winter temperatures, December through February, between 2 degrees Celsius to minus 6 degrees 
Celsius.
