Momentum: College Program for High School Students

This program is an opportunity for high school juniors and seniors to get a head start on college by enrolling in college level courses. Students can choose from a variety of courses (most often liberal arts courses) during the Fall, Spring, Summer I and Summer II semesters through high school graduation.

General Information/Requirements:

  • Completed sophomore or junior year of high school
  • Ranked in the top 50% of class
  • Meet minimum grade point average requirements
  • Eligible for a maximum of two courses per semester
  • Awarded Marywood University credit; usually 3 credits per course
  • Courses are offered at a reduced tuition rate

  • Composition and Rhetoric
  • Introduction to World Literature
  • Global History of the Twentieth Century
  • Introduction to Philosophy
  • General Psychology
