Russell Roberts maintains his own private practice as an architect while teaching fifth year design studios, professional practice, and architecture history. Before beginning his own practice he worked from 2000-2008 as Principal-In-Charge of numerous projects at Bohlin Cywinski Jackson, where he was Senior Associate and Project Manager from 1973-2000 before that. While he worked on a broad range of projects there, he focused particularly on the design of academic institutions. Some of his projects include the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University, the Gateway Apartments at Bucknell University, and the Arnaud C. Marts Athletic and Conference Center at Wilkes University.
Russell Roberts has received numerous awards for projects he managed. A few include an AIA National Honor Award, AIA Chapter Awards in Pennsylvania and New England, and a GSA Design Excellence Award. His expertise and intresets have also led him to help the community in many ways, volunteering with Habitat for Humanity and giving presentions on art and architecture history for the public.
