Blue-Eyed Grass Studied #1
Lisa HinkleMedium:

Blue-eyed grass is actually a threatened plant species in Pennsylvania. Here, it grows in June and its flowers last only a few days. It is a delicate flower that grows on a single grss stem 4-10 inches high that holds a flower about 1/4 of an inch in diameter. It likes to grow wild in overgrown, brush areas and doesn't fare well on a manicured lawn. I love to search for it every year on my property and when found, it is like discovering a precious gem. Although I feel guilty to even pick a few steams, I scanned these flowers because the scanner has the ability to capture and preserve all of the fine and delicate details. They remind me to treasure things of beauty because they do not last long.
