Pick Your Passion this Summer with Marywood Art Camps

Challenge yourself, develop your talents, learn something new!  Our camps will follow CDC and PA Department of Health Guidelines. Additional guidelines pertaining to individual camps will be sent after registration.

Pottery + Sculpture Camp

June 28 - July 2
9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Insalaco Center for Studio Arts

Ages: High School Students

Instructor: Stephen Colley
Cost: $300.00

Students will have the opportunity to throw pots on pottery wheels, as well as learn hand building techniques like slab building and creating coil pots. They also will learn how to construct figurative and abstract sculptures while they explore various hand building techniques.

Comic Book Camp

Ages: High School Students

Cost: $375.00

Learn to speak in sequential art, the visual language of comics! Create entire universes with nothing more than a pencil, paper, and ink! In the weeklong Comic Book Camp, we’ll focus on character creation and design, narrative structure and pacing, viewpoint and focus, visual cues, choosing the style of rendering to best compliment your narrative, and much more—everything you need to create rich, convincing worlds in which to immerse your audience.

Digital Photography Camp

Shields Center for Visual Arts

Age: High School Students

Instructor: Aimee Diliger
Cost: $375.00

Learn digital photography basics using your smartphone camera or digital SLR and Adobe Photoshop. Students will explore digital photography techniques including shooting modes, aperture, shutter speeds, ISO, white balance, and composition. Projects include portraits, editorial, fine art, image editing techniques, animated GIFs, photo compositing, and more.
