It really is mind blowing to look back on the growth I've experienced over the past 5 years. It is at times still intimidating to "take myself seriously" in lack of better words, but I am excited to always learn with each new experience & cannot wait to see what the future holds beginning the next chapter of my life.

Marywood's five-year program was the best choice for me because it was where I felt the most at home. I was greeted with nothing but warm smiles and welcoming faces, and nothing has changed since then.

I love my new job! I really feel that our program prepared me for the clinic I am in. I feel confident on a daily basis when working with the clients and interacting with the parents as well!

You all pushed me beyond my limits, challenged me, educated me and most importantly helped me prove to myself that I could indeed follow my dream of becoming a Speech Language Pathologist. Marywood’s five-year program was and is a great choice! My cohort (my peers in the major) are like my second family. Since freshman year, I have been with the same 25-30 students for all of my communication sciences and disorders department courses. The small class size is beneficial as it allows you to get to know your peers and the faculty gets to know everyone on an individual basis. Being able to observe in the on-campus clinic starting as a freshman gave me great insight, which I have carried with me as a current student clinician at Marywood.

Just received your verification on my application for my CCC's. I know I was put on this earth to be an SLP and I am loving every second of being the real deal. Thank you for giving me the tools to be the young professional I am. Marywood, you, and the entire department have been so good to me, so thank you to you and all of the hard work you put into making us the best we can be

I have experienced many benefits as a result of the five-year program. However, one of the greatest benefits is the strong sense of community. Because we aren't competing for limited spaces in graduate programs, the students in the program are encouraging and eager to help each other. The five-year program fosters a strong support system among its students.

I want to personally thank each and every one of the professors at Marywood in the Speech and Language Program. Thank you for preparing me for what the “real world” is like. I appreciate the education that your program provided me. I am blessed!!!

My professors and my experience at the Marywood Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic prepared me with the clinical skills and education to succeed in my graduate clinical internship. My internship hired me right out of graduate school and I have been working with the company since!
