About Fulbright Grants
Marywood prepares students to live in a diverse and interdependent world. The U.S. Fulbright Program is a way for students to further their education, experience other cultures, and promote positive interactions between people and other academic institutions in their respective host country. Students may enhance their knowledge of their respective field through this wonderful academic opportunity.
BIG news for the #Fullbright Network!
President Barack Obama has signed an Executive Order “Providing for the Appointment of Alumni of the Fulbright U.S. Student Program, the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program, and the Critical Language Scholarship Program to the Competitive Service.”
This means that from now on, U.S. citizen alumni of these programs will be granted Non-Competitive Eligibility (NCE) for jobs within the Federal Government. This benefit will be available for the year directly following completion of your program!
Full text of the order is in the link below.
For those who have completed their grants outside of the eligibility window, we hope that this decree validates the importance of the work that you have done and the significance of your selection for the Fulbright Program.
We are proud of all of our alumni and are pleased that future Fulbrighters will receive this exciting benefit!
There are still several unknowns about specific timing details and eligibility. We will update as we find out more, thank you in advance for your patience
