WARNING CONCERNING COPYRIGHT RESTRICTIONS: The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, U.S. Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or other reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship or research." If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use," that user may be liable for copyright infringement. This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.

  1. 1. All charges are to be paid by the patron unless you are faculty or administration in which case a prior arrangement of free service or a departmental charge has been arranged. The minimum charge is $.50, maximum charge is whatever the lending library charges Marywood. If the charge is $10, then you pay $10. You must indicate the maximum amount you are willing to pay or else a delay will result in processing your request. If a library is reciprocal with us, which is usually the case, your charge will run from $.50 to an additional $.10 per page.
  2. How much are you willing to pay?
  3. Allow 2-1/2 weeks for delivery of material.

Note: A borrowing library, in this case, Marywood, may borrow only 5 articles per journal title from the preceding 5 year period, e.g. 1990-1995. If the allowable limit has already been reached, your request will be returned.

By submitting this, you indicate that you understand and agree to the above provisions including charges. If an article arrives after you need it, you must still pay the charge. If you have failed to pick up previous ILL materials and/or have outstanding ILL charges more than 30 days old, new requests will NOT be processed. All unpaid ILL charges will be added to your library borrower's record and may result in suspension of borrowing privileges.

Unless specified as "optional" all above information is required and must be completed or ILL REQUEST WILL NOT BE PROCESSED. If you are having trouble completing this form, then inquire at the Reference Desk for more information.
