This event is for prospective students interested in enrolling in the Master of Social Work Program in the Lehigh Valley. Includes information about the accredited master's degree in social work, full-time and part-time study options, advanced standing for BSW graduates, and the internship program. Also includes a review of the admissions process.

Four Scranton MSW students, Michael Carone, Rachel Orazzi, Stephanie Williams and Tiffany McCary are the recipients for the 2021-2022 Appleseed Partnership Foundation Scholarship.
These students’ MSW program field practicum placements are: Michael Carone at the Volunteer of Medicine. Rachel Orazzi at PA Probation, Stephanie Williams at Reaching Beyond Limits and Tiffany McCary at Geisinger Wyoming Valley
Two Scranton MSW students, Daysi Carreto and Tabitha Dills are the 2021 Mrs. Angela Marie Hyo Jae Ryoo-Kim memorial scholarship recipients in the Scranton MSW program at Marywood University. Each will receive $ 2,000 and it could be used either for tuition or buying textbooks.

At its 2018 conference, the National Association of Social Workers of Pennsylvania (NASW-PA) Chapter awarded Lloyd L. Lyter, Ph.D., MSW, LSW, with the Social Work Educator of the Year Award.
Sunny Sinha, Ph.D., assistant professor in the School of Social Work at Marywood University, was recently notified that her article “Ethical and Safety Issues in Doing Sex Work Research: Reflections from a Field-Based Ethnographic Study in Kolkata, India,” which was published in Qualitative Health Research 27:6, 2017, has been awarded the Michael H. Agar Lively Science Award for 2018.
Congratulations to Dr. Phyllis Black! Dr. Black, Director & Professor in the MSW Program in the Lehigh Valley, and a NASW Social Work Pioneer, has been selected for the CSWE 2017 Service and Leadership in Social Work Education Award.

Kielty Turner, DSW, assistant professor in the School of Social Work at Marywood University, is presented a certificate of recognition from the U.S. Professors of the Year by Mark Rodgers, DSW, LCSW, BCD, dean of the College of Health and Human Services at Marywood University.
Marywood University and Mrs. Joanne Aronsohn Monahan recently dedicated the Dr. Fergus T. Monahan student lounge in the School of Social Work at the University. In addition to the dedication, Mrs. Monahan was also presented with an award for her ongoing dedication and commitment to the School of Social Work.
