Marywood's Adult Literacy program is located in designated areas in the Center for Natural and Health Sciences. Due to demand, orientation/intake requirements and the nature of the program's managed classes; students may be placed on a waitlist until space becomes available. The program offers day and evening options and has a strict attendance policy in order to satisfy program requirements. Adult Basic Literacy Education (ABLE) Classes Offered
Marywood University provides classes to the community, as part of a program funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, Division of Adult Education. Classes offer a full range of instructional services that help prepare Pennsylvanians looking to develop basic skills necessary to participate fully in the education of their children, find and keep family-sustaining employment, or obtain a secondary school credential.
Adult Basic Literacy Education Classes including English as a Second Language (ESL) and High School Equivalency (GED/HiSET)
Daytime and Evening classes are available with additional classes forming. All classes meet in the Center for Natural and Health Sciences (CNHS) unless otherwise indicated.
