As part of the "Connect: The Business of Design and Illustration Speaker Series," Lisa Lori will present on intellectual property on Wednesday, November 13, 6–7 p.m., in the Learning Resources Center, Media Room 160.

Lisa is a partner in the litigation department at Klehr, Harrison, Harvey & Branzburg LLP, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She represents individuals and businesses nationally in a full range of matters, with particular emphasis on complex business disputes and intellectual property.

Lisa handles trademark and copyright protection and infringement matters, contract disputes, unfair competition, fraud and misrepresentation, trade secrets and employment matters. Her clients include, among many others, fashion and accessory designers and manufacturers, health and beauty companies, private equity companies, media outlets, real estate developers and individual entrepreneurs and professionals. When disputes are not resolved amicably, Lisa litigates cases in state and federal courts and arbitration venues, across the United States, including Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Connecticut, California, Nevada, Wisconsin, Florida and Texas, to name a few.

Prior to entering law school, Lisa founded and served as president of an apparel manufacturing and design company. Her clothing line was featured in Nordstrom, as well as other retail establishments around the world.

Lisa graduated from Marywood University in 1993. She attended Temple University, Beasley University School of Law, and graduated cum laude, in 1999.

Lisa frequently publishes articles and lectures on intellectual property and business issues. She also serves as the co-regional director for Fashion Group International, Philadelphia Region, a global, non-profit, professional organization with 5000 members in the fashion industry including apparel, accessories, beauty and home.
