| Marywood is incorporated in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a nonprofit corporation named Marywood College, by decree of the Court of Common Pleas of Lackawanna County. Its purpose is to establish, conduct, and maintain a college for the higher education of young women, with power to confer degrees in art, pure and applied science, and philosophy, and to grant the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Music, and Bachelor of Science in Household Economics, June 4. | |
