HIPAA Privacy Practices

Procedures

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) requires that health plans protect the confidentiality of private health information.  A complete description of rights under HIPAA can be found in the Plan's notice of privacy practices.  The Privacy Officer, the Director of Human Resources, should be contacted for a copy of the notice, for questions about the privacy of health information, or to file a complaint.
