Matthew Bartos
Executive Director at Silver Pines Treatment Center; Northeast Division Chair, NASW-PA. Experienced administrator and mental health professional with a demonstrated history of working to help those with Substance Use Disorder. Skilled in individual and family therapy, management, strategic planning, and community outreach. Strong background in understanding systems and their impact on people. Matthew is our program's graduate and the recipient of the 2020 Walton Medal for Excellence in Public Service. 
Jaime Bloxham
Jaime Bloxham, MPA, received her Master’s degree in Public Administration (MPA) from Marywood University and Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Keystone College. Currently, Jaime is the Program Manager, Sisters Leadership Development Initiative (SLDI) & Service Learning at the African Sisters Education Collaborative (ASEC). ASEC is an international nonprofit located on Marywood’s campus that provides educational opportunities for Catholic Sisters in Africa. Her background includes extensive experience working in the nonprofit sector for over 10 years. She is passionate about being a positive role model for her two daughters and working with the Sisters in Africa. She also received Honorable Mention for Marywood University’s 2019 Walton Medal for Excellence in Public Administration.
Nicole Brown
Director of Vocational Services at The Arc of Chemung-Schuyler, Steuben County, New York. Previously, Nicole was the Director of Volunteer Services at ARC of Chemung-Schuyler in Elmira, NY. Nicole is our program's graduate and the 2017 recipient of the Walton Medal for Excellence in Public service.
David Bulzoni
David Bulzoni has devoted most of his career supporting local governments, both as a government official and in a professional capacity within the financial services industry (as a municipal debt specialist). His financial services experience includes thirty years in banking, twenty of which was in government banking and five years as a treasury services professional.
He continues his career working with local government as a financial services project manager with the Harrisburg-based engineering firm Herbert, Rowland, and Grubic, Inc. (HRG). Continuing to broaden his horizons, Mr. Bulzoni is now assisting municipalities and municipal authorities by performing user rate studies and analysis, assessing the financial impact of capital improvement projects, identifying funding sources, and constructing client funding strategies.
Mr. Bulzoni previously served as the Business Administrator for the City of Scranton for six years, during which he was responsible for the management of the sixth largest city in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He applied his knowledge of local government to the construction and application of a $100 million annual operating budget and the execution of numerous projects supporting the revitalization of a city with acute financial challenges. Those projects include participation in $50 million parking and $195 million sewer asset monetization initiatives, a $40 million union award settlement, comprehensive debt refunding and defeasement, and $4 million street lighting and $3 million roadway improvement projects.
Mr. Bulzoni is a graduate of Bloomsburg University with a BA in Geography and Urban and Regional Planning. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Marywood University. His certifications include a Municipal Management Certification from Lebanon Valley College and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Economic and Community Development School of Municipal Government. Mr. Bulzoni holds his Series 7 and 63 securities licenses.
Mr. Bulzoni previously served in an elected capacity as Newton Township Supervisor and was a Treasurer and founding member of the Abington Heights Educational Improvement Organization. He is also active in the Pennsylvania Government Finance Officers Association, Pennsylvania Municipal Authorities Association, and the Pennsylvania Association of Public Employees Retirement Systems.
When not involved in local government initiatives, Mr. Bulzoni practices the Chinese martial art of Tai Chi, which he has done for the past fifteen years. To the perennial amusement of his two sons, he also continues to labor at improving his bass guitar playing. Mr. Bulzoni currently lives in Newton Township, Lackawanna County, with his wife Robin and their two dogs and two cats.
William Craven
William Craven, MPA, is a Business Faculty Lecturer at Lackawanna College as well as the Manager of Community Impact Funds at United Way of Lackawanna and Wayne Counties. William received his Master’s degree in Public Administration (MPA) from Marywood University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Community Health Education from the University of Scranton, and an Associates in Science degree in Accounting from Lackawanna College. During his time at Marywood in the MPA program, he conducted research on the effects of Flexible Working Arrangements impacting non-profit employees and was published in the Journal of Applied Professional Studies. In his line of work, William has created several community health initiative programs at United Way as well as created new funding processes to help improve local non-profit organizations in Lackawanna County as well as improve the local community as a whole. William continues to improve the community by educating college levels students in topics related to leadership in organizations and helping them become the best version of themselves. William is our program’s graduate and the recipient of the 2021 Walton Medal for Excellence in Public Services.
Nina Cecilia Dei Tos
Behavioral Healthcare Professional in Las Vegas, Nevada. Bill worked also as a CEO for Valley Recovery Center of California, CEO for White Deer Run/Lehigh County Center for Recovery, CEO for Bowling Green Brandywine Treatment Center, SCA Director for Lackawanna-Susquehanna Office of Drugs and Alcohol Programs, Deputy Director for the Advocacy Alliance and Program Manager of Goodwill Industries of northeastern Pennsylvania. Bill is our program's graduate and the recipient of the 2013 Walton Medal for Excellence in Public Service.
Sean Hogan
Customer Onboarding & Readiness Expert at Accolade, Inc., Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania. Accolade's model combines science, technology, and compassion. Our ability to have an understanding of the contextual, emotional, and medical barriers that impact health costs and outcomes is invaluable. Sean is our program's graduate and the recipient of the 2011 Walton Medal for Excellence in Public Service.
Ashtyn Foddrell
Ashtyn Foddrell resideds in Burlington, North Carolina. She graduated from Elon University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Services with a minor in Criminal Justice. After graduation, she worked as an Alumni Engagement Officer for Elon University until August of 2020. Currently, she is the Community Relations Liaison for the Danville Police Department in Danville, Virginia. Her new role is to create innovative and creative programs and events that bridge the gap between our police officers and the community. 
Leon John, Jr.
Leon John, Jr. is an alumnus of our program. In 2019 he earned his Ph.D. from Marywood University as well. Dr. Leon John is the Director of Alumni Engagement at East Stroudsburg University, Pennsylvania. Experienced university administrator with a demonstrated history of working in multiple aspects of the higher education industry. Skilled in management, diversity and inclusiveness, classroom instruction, academic advising, volunteer management, public speaking, research, Title IX training, and fundraising.
Michael Krzywicki
Lieutenant Commander of Police at Wilkes University Police Department and former Police Chief of the Borough of Kingston, Pennsylvania. Chief Krzywicki graduated from Marywood University's MPA Program in 2019. He is the recipient of the program's 2019 Walton Medal for Excellence in Public Service.
Meghan Loftus
Our program's graduate and the 2016 recipient of the Walton Medal for Excellence in Public Service. Meghan is President and CEO at Friends of the Poor Scranton, a nonprofit agency in Scranton, PA that works to ease the burden of living in poverty and enhance the quality of life for all who live in low- to moderate-income communities (Friends of the Poor was founded by Sister Adrian Barrett, IHM, in 1986 and is sponsored by the Congregation of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary). Meghan also taught as Adjunct Professor at Lackawanna College, and was Community Service Specialist at NEPA Alliance. 
Heather Messina
Heather graduated from the MPA Program in 2011. She is a senior contract and grant specialist at Lehigh University's College of Health, where she is responsible for activities related to the life cycle of sponsored program administration, such as identifying sources of funding, proposal preparation and contract management, as well as providing financial support to faculty, staff, and students. Heather states the following on her experience at Marywood University: "I warmly remember my years as an undergraduate (UG '08) and graduate student (G '11) at Marywood University. The influence of lifelong learning and curiosity began early as a student educated by the Sisters of IHM at St. Rose Elementary School and Sacred Heart High School in Carbondale, PA (2004). My previous degrees from Marywood have opened the door to a solid career path for me in research administration, and I am hopeful that obtaining this advanced degree will allow me to take my career to the next level as an administrator in higher education."
Todd Pousley
Neighborhood Revitalization Manager at NeighborWorks Northeastern Pennsylvania in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Previously, Todd worked as a Neighborhood Revitalization Manager at NeighborWorks, Web Content Director at Marywood University, as well as Graphic Designer at Ideaworks Marketing and Design. Todd is our program's graduate and the recipient of the 2014 Walton Medal for Excellence in Public Service.
Julanne Skinner
Field Enumeration at USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service in Montrose, Pennsylvania. Previously, Julanne worked as CEF Program Director for LWVPA in Lehigh Valley, a Field Enumeration for USDA National Agricultural Statistic Services, and was Montrose Borough Council Member. Julanne is our program's graduate and the 2012 recipient of the Walton Medal for Excellence in Public Service.
Michael Williams
Manager of Adult Day Services at The Arc of Northeastern Pennsylvania. Michael graduated from Marywood University's MPA Program in 2018. He is the program's 2018 recipient of the Walton Medal for Excellence in Public Service. His emphasis is on human services, advocacy, and program development focusing on community collaborations as a means to serve marginalized populations within Northeastern PA. His primary focus in the past several years has been in the area of disability advocacy, collaborating with all levels of management at the Center for Independent Living, as well as external stakeholders to build sustainable program models to equip the local disability population with skills needed to achieve future employment. Michael's academic interests include policy formation, income distribution studies and application of ethical perspectives in non-profit management.
James Wansacz
Executive director of Scranton-Lackawanna Human Development Agency, Inc. Prior to this James was the Representative from Lackawanna, Luzerne, Susquehanna and Wyoming Counties at Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2000 through 2010. He was first elected in a special election held on June 20, 2000 and served until his retirement in 2010 after an unsuccessful run for the State Senate. Between 2011-15,he was elected to serve on the Lackawanna County Board of Commissioners. James is our program's graduate and received his MPA from Marywood University in 2017.
