Marywood Is an Arboretum
Marywood's campus has long been known for its natural beauty. In fact, Marywood University is an official arboretum, recognized by the American Public Gardens Association (APGA).
The Arboretum at Marywood boasts 42 species of trees that contain 103 varieties, and a comparable number and variety of shrubs, as well as ornamental grasses and perennial, biennial, and annual blooms.
Community Garden
Gardeners can flex their green thumbs in Marywood's new on-campus community garden. The garden's 26 plots are available to faculty, staff, and administrators at Marywood. The garden is the brainchild of Marywood's Arboretum Committee, headed by Superintendent of Grounds Mark Burns. Read more about Marywood's community garden.
