Why Nursing?
Nursing forms a major component of the health care provided within society. The field of nursing encompasses those aspects of health care which assist a client to identify human responses to health problems and to alleviate those problems. Not only are nurses in high demand, a career in nursing:

To become a licensed registered nurse, students must complete a rigorous program of study. Students must then pass the National Council of Licensure Examination in the state in which they are applying for licensure.

Marywood University's Nursing Department offers students an academic education through an interdisciplinary approach to practicing nursing in diverse community populations. Nursing students are provided both academic and personal enrichment through highly educated and skilled faculty and staff to help them become leading professionals in today's healthcare environment. The nursing program prepares students to become licensed registered nurses. The program teaches students how to use evidence based practice to provide high-quality nursing care to clients in a variety of health care settings. Accreditation of Nursing Program
In Fall 2019, the Marywood Nursing program received word that the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) had awarded the BSN program continuing, ten-year accreditation through December 31, 2029. For more information, please go to Accreditation.
